How TechNova handles student account, learning, family-verification, and payment-related information.
Student account information
When student accounts are enabled, TechNova is designed to use a student email, display name, password handled by the authentication provider, a safe built-in avatar selection, parent or guardian email, selected courses, and learning progress. TechNova does not need a learner’s date of birth, home address, or phone number for the included account flow.
Learning progress
Authenticated lesson progress is stored for the signed-in student so the dashboard can show completed, in-progress, and recent learning activity. Public/free labs can remain available without a student subscription.
Parent or guardian verification
The included verification flow stores the parent or guardian email, a one-time verification record, verification status, and timestamps needed to manage that request. Verification links expire and are stored as hashed tokens on the server.
Payments
TechNova redirects payment entry to Stripe Checkout when the operator enables billing. TechNova should not directly store card numbers. Verified subscription identifiers and course selections may be stored to provide learner access.
Security and access
Student authentication is designed around server-managed secure cookies and row-level database access so a student can access only that student’s profile and progress. Server-only credentials must not be exposed to browser JavaScript.
Children and students
TechNova is intended to be used with an authorized parent, guardian, school, or other responsible adult where required. The service operator is responsible for configuring consent, privacy, retention, and school requirements that apply to the actual deployment.
